RALLY ‘ROUND THE FLAG | An American life: Is it worth it?

Christine Carey | Managing editor
[email protected]

Spring semester at City College has finally started, and as most of you shriek and groan about it, I jump for joy at the opportunity to get off my lazy ass and do something proactive with my boring life.

I’m sure most of you don’t have the same kind of enthusiasm, but school has pretty much become the beacon of my life. For many Americans, work becomes their lives, and I guess that’s what I am doing in school, studying my way to working all my life and paying taxes so America’s elite and Congressmen can, in my opinion, spend it on hookers and blow. Again, this is my opinion.

I guess you could say my ideas are extremely pessimistic, and I shouldn’t be writing this considering the title of my column, but I never really mentioned what flag I was “rallying around.” I just think that we students who work hard and study day and night to get good grades should be shown some gratitude.

I was really sick last semester of eating ramen noodles while the gluttonous Bush administration happily grubbed down on my Benjamins. Yes, Bush, your meal is free “compliments of the hard-working American.”
You also have super viagra online the chance to enjoy sex. This medicine of Ajanta Pharma is cheaper than the side effects of levitra . Resources to obtain Kamagra: After getting approval from your doctor. sildenafil best price This medication works by destroying PDE5 enzymes which blocks the blood and does not let it pass ahead which discount tadalafil is why the problem of erectile dysfunction takes place.
I guess the average American will never know what our taxes will be spent on at all times, so I just stay in school and work hard to get a good education, regardless of what I think America’s elite are up to. I know I am just another citizen caught in the trap of what “life is supposed to be like,” following what everyone else does because that’s what we are supposed to do with our lives. You know, pay taxes and die.

This is a very complex and touchy subject, but I really don’t think that human beings were put on this earth to work five days a week for eight hours a day. I work my way towards this hell anyway because in the world today, you can’t survive comfortably without money. I’m extremely high maintenance so I guess I will just have to accept the fact that I am a drone to the government so I can have a place to live, food to eat, and Almay Brand make-up, Ivory shade.

After hearing rumors about government cover-ups, embezzled stacks of cash and all kinds of other atrocities, I can’t have faith in our government any longer. Not to mention, it’s not like I can do anything about it.

I guess what I’m getting at is, even though I feel like a tool, I guess the most positive thing to look at is I will be more educated and have a hardcore work ethic. Now that I think about it, in the end, that’s probably what the government wants, more Americans with good work ethics to keep them rich.

Damn, I guess the only pro in this situation is education. Well, that’s good enough for me. The elite may be wealthier than us City College students, but overhearing rumors about what kind of activities they engage themselves in for fun and laughs just makes my IQ drop. 10 points.
