Former Express newspaper photo editor Emma Foley, who died over the summer, will have her photography showcased in a campus gallery exhibit opening Nov. 12.

The gallery will feature 50 of Foley’s photographs and a multimedia presentation about her work and her life, said photography department chair Paul Estabrook. Writings by Foley’s mother will also be included in the show. A scholarship for City College photography students will be established in Foley’s name.

“We are attempting to raise $5,000 to have a scholarship endowed in Emma’s name,” said Estabrook. “We will provide a print of Emma’s work to those that donate more than $50 to the scholarship.”

The City College journalism and photography departments are showcasing Foley’s work,in the gallery on the second floor of the STS building. Foley died at age 20 in an accident this past summer. She was a student photographer, photography tutor and photo editor.
