Spend the morning of Cinco de Mayo giving back to the community with the Students of Occupational Therapy May 5 at its clothing drive in City College’s parking lot F at 21st Street and Sutterville Road from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
SOTA is asking for gently-used clothing, purses, dolls, soft toys (no hard/outside toys), towels and anything in between. The group also asks that if you bring something, put it in a tied plastic garbage bag. Shoes should be placed in a separate bag.
Anna Yun, a second year occupational therapy assistant student, says the SOTA club has been planning the event since February.
“We are hoping this is going to be very successful because it serves not only us, but also the community,” said Yun. “People can drop off their used clothing and clear away unneeded things in their closet, and the money earned will be used to help different community advocacies. We work to give back to the community.”
