What about the season ticket holders? The people who are going to be going to Yankee games every week of the season for the next 20 years? For them it’s just downright disrespectful in my opinion. You would think that a team with one of the biggest followings in any professional sport would want to take care of their fans. How does something like that get overlooked? Did they get caught up in the all the luxuries that they boasted broadly about?

I mean, Dodger stadium was built in 1962, cost only $23 million dollars,
which amounts to about 163 million now, holds 56,000 and doesn’t have an obstructed view in the whole stadium. If they could do it almost 50 years ago the right way, how did this get screwed up so bad? The other New York team, the Mets, also opened the new Citi Field, which also has obstructed views.

I just think there is something wrong when there are billions of dollars being spent on new athletic stadiums and they aren’t near perfect. If you going to do something, do it right. The fans are who are paying for the damn things in the first place, so you would think you would want to keep them happy. Think about it executives, without fans what do you have?
