Thanks to the wonders of technology, fans of NCAA basketball no longer have to ditch work or school to keep track of all the action.

“I definitely wasn’t paying attention,” Maslin said. “I was pretty good about hiding it.”

The games are only half the fun, with even President Obama filling out a tournament bracket with his predictions for the winner.

“It’s the competition aspect, that’s the main thing,” said Maslin. “Whenever March madness comes up, I know I have to start thinking about my bracket. It starts in late February when I really start following teams.”

Anderson thinks students were absent during the tournament “just for the regular reasons.”

“I think because the weather is nice,” he said.
