The Sacramento City College Foundation is hosting its annual brick sale through April 29 to benefit various areas of City College. Bricks can be used to memorialize whatever a donor may want to honor loved ones, colleagues, or students.

“I think it’s a great way to leave your mark at Sac City College,” said Mary Leland, executive director of the Foundation.

Three prices, along with three different locations where bricks can be bought, are available: $250 for the area in front of the Learning Resource Center with three lines; $100 for the softball field with two lines; and $30 for students and $50 dollars others for the bricks near the Panther statue by the bookstore with one line.

According to Leland, the bricks near the Panther statue in particular are a great deal for those looking to memorialize someone because the cost is relatively inexpensive.

“The Associated Student Government at the time [when the Panther was made] was so excited because they really wanted a project that would begin to build some real school pride,” said Leland. “They came to us with the project, and the foundation got involved because we wanted to properly thank the donors and help assist the ASG with their fund raising efforts.”
