Gearing up

The bicycle: as invention, novelty, and transportation, exists as a daily fixture at City College. Despite the glut of cars and other transportion methods students may take advantage of, the bicycle continues to thrive. Not bad for a vehicle nearly 200 years antiquated.

“I ride my bike everywhere as a form of transportation,” said City College student and general education major Jonny Jayne.  “I even do tricks and it doesn’t matter if it’s raining when I need to go somewhere.”

Time has produced many innovations and alterations for the bicylce, but the basic idea of sitting on two wheels and peddling is like skipping or swimming, at least for many City College students.
