Students who use City College financial aid resources are all too familiar with waiting in lines, filling out an overwhelming amount of paperwork and coming across confusion as to when their money will make it to their pockets.

A new system for information delivery aims to solve some of those problems because, according to the Financial Aid office, updates will now be posted online every Friday on the school website at www.scc.losrios.edu/financialaid.

The new online system will allow students to know when their paperwork will be completed and an estimate on how long it will take for their money to come in.

“Based on the dates posted, students will know when we are processing their paperwork,” said Jacqueline Chacon, a financial aid clerk.

For students who want to know the stage at which their packages are being processed, the financial aid update will help them if they remember the date they turned their paperwork in. The new updates also provide information about when students can expect their payments.
