The volleyball team dominated the court as it opened up its season against Feather River College on Sept. 4, defeating them by a final score of 25 to 19 at City College.
From the warm-ups to the actual game, the team appeared to be ready for the task at hand. Although it got off to a rough start, the team eventually found its groove as it made its way to its six-point victory.
“I think that we are very good and that we will win both of our games on Saturday,” Megan Pollock said in an interview before the game.
With their tough conditioning and strict practices during the summer, Coach Laurie Nash knew that the team was prepared, but interested to see how it would handle the competition.
“Although I am not sure of how they will react toward the competition at first, they will win,” Nash said before the game.
As Nash expected, the team executed their game plan flawlessly, giving the team hope for a great season this year.
The volleyball team looks to remain successful as they take the court on Sept. 8 at 6:30 p.m. at Foothill Community College.
