Spring comes early this winter for City Theatre. A Flea in Her Ear opens Friday, Feb. 26 and will continue through March 21.
The upcoming comedy is bound to bring thrills and discussion. Set in turn-of-the-century France, this play brings us into the escapades of a wife who, after years of marriage begins to doubt her husband’s fidelity. The whirlwind of comedic mis-communications and frivolities begin there.
This story takes the audience on the thrilling road of how a woman entices her own husband and how she faces her own doubts and fears, all with smiles and roars of laughter.
Written by Georges Feydea and translated by John Mortimer. City College adjunct professor Kim McCann-Lawson will be directing this production.
If the plot wasn’t enough, the bright, costumes that look as though they came out of a cartoon world will certainly entertain you.
“The more modern colors and textures will be used against the more classic time period silhouette,” said Lalena Huttun.
Essentially the audience will see colors and textures of their time period, to be pulled into a storyline that transcends time and can connect to any relationship
