In response to recent shootings at CSU, Sacramento and the U.S. Army base at Fort Hood in Texas, City College will be hosting a workshop on Nov. 10 at 12 p.m., illustrating what students and faculty should do if they are faced with such a violent situation.
According to the Staff Resource Center press release, the workshop will train participants to “develop a survival mindset and how to take direct responsibility for your personal safety and that of your students.”
Recently, as reported at SacCityExpress.com, a student was beaten to death and another shot by police in a dorm room at CSU Sacramento on Oct. 26.
Shortly thereafter, on Nov. 5, an army psychiatrist allegedly shot 44 people at Fort Hood, killing 13 people.
