Q: How do you handle school with being on the football team?
A: Actually, football is my inspiration for school. It strives me to do well, because I want to play on the field, and if I don’t have the grades, I can’t play.
Q: What do you think of the coaching staff?
A: I like the coaching staff. They push us to our full potential and expect hard work every- day. They teach us ‘how you practice, is how you play.’
Q: What do you contribute to the City College football team?
A: I go to practice everyday willing to learn and be prepared for my opponent.
Q: How is this season shaping up in your eyes? Will we expect wins from the City College football team?
A: It’s a working progress. We recently have lost our first two games of the season, but all we can do is learn from the mistakes and be prepared for our next opponent. Yes, you will expect wins this season. We have worked too hard to end this season on a bad note.
Q: Did you do conditioning? Was it beneficial?
A: Yes, I try my best to stay in shape. The coaches have extreme workouts, working us on our explosion. It’s very beneficial because I feel like I can run up and down the field all day and not get tired.
Q: How long have you been playing football?
A: I’ve been playing football for eight years now. I played youth Pop Warner football in junior high school, played all four years in high school, and now I’m playing my first year in college here at Sac City.
Q: Do you have plans to play football in the future?
A: Yes! I plan to continue football at a four-year-college and if GOD blesses me to make it to the NFL.
Q: Do you have any memorable plays?
A: It was my freshman year in high school and the last game. I was playing tight end and I went out for a pass and I made a one-handed catch in the end zone. I was surprised because at first it just felt like a reaction at the time, but then I realized I actually ended up scoring.
